Bienvenidos a los 21 días de ayuno y oración de CDA Miami. Hoy reflexionamos en Juan 20:26-31, donde Jesús invita a Tomás a creer, incluso sin ver. Juan relata los milagros de Jesús como "señales," evidencia para que creamos que Él es el Hijo de Dios. Creer no es solo aceptar una idea, sino una acción continua que transforma nuestras vidas. Propósito | Día 21
¿Cuál es tu propósito? Para vivir una vida completa y plena, todos necesitamos comer y dormir. Pero, por lo general, no es hasta que una persona come y duerme por un período de treinta, cuarenta y cincuenta años que comienza a cuestionarse el motivo de su existencia. Por lo general, no es hasta que una persona llega a los cincuenta o sesenta años que comienza a mirar hacia el final y se pregunta, ¿cuál es mi propósito? ¿Por qué estoy aquí? Lo bueno es que cuanto antes respondas a esta pregunta, más pronto podrás vivir una vida completa y plena.
Al descubrir tu propósito, es importante determinar dónde o cómo quieres que termine tu vida, pero más importante aún, comprender que tu propósito es ser el medio a través del cual se logra un fin. Ósea, que eres el medio y no el fin. Nada de lo que se ha creado ha sido creado para servirse a uno mismo, sino más bien para servir a un propósito fuera de uno mismo. Pero primero tendrás que ir mas haya de preguntarte, ¿qué hay para mí? Y comenzar a preguntarte ¿para quién estoy aquí? Porque no fuiste creado para servirte a ti mismo, más bien fuiste creado para servir a los demás.
LECTURA BIBLICA:
Debes tener la misma actitud que tuvo Cristo Jesús. Aunque era Dios, no pensaba en la igualdad con Dios como algo a lo que aferrarse. En cambio, renunció a sus privilegios divinos, tomó la humilde posición de un siervo... - Filipenses 2: 5-7 NTV.
PIÉNSALO:
Al concluir estos 21 días de ayuno y oración, te animo a que sigas voluntariamente humillándote y buscando a Dios. Pero también te voy a pedir que medites en la que pienso es una de las preguntas más importantes de tu vida y esa pregunta no es, ¿cuál es mi propósito? Sino más bien es, ¿Para quién estoy aquí para servirle? ¿Quién es mi propósito?
ORA:
Padre celestial hoy te doy gracias por la oportunidad que me das de vivir la vida que Tú me regalas con un propósito mayor que yo, gracias porque puedo preguntarme y meditar en una de las preguntas más importes de todas, ¿Para quién estoy aquí para servirle? ¿Quién es mi propósito? Ayúdame a encontrar la respuesta y ponerla en práctica mientras esté en esta tierra.
Purpose | Day 21
What is your purpose? To live a complete and full life everyone needs to eat and sleep. But usually, it’s not until a person eats and sleeps their way into their thirties, forties, and fifties that they begin to question the reason for their existence. It’s usually not until a person enters their fifties and sixties that they start to look towards the end and begin to ask the question, what is my purpose? Why am I here? The cool thing is that the sooner you answer this question, the sooner you can live a complete and fulfilled life.
When discovering your purpose, it’s important to determine where or how you want your life to end. But it’s more important to understand that you are a means to an end not the end. Nothing that has been created has been created to serve itself but rather to serve a purpose outside of itself. But you’ll first have to get past, what’s in it for me? Then ask yourself, who am I here for? You’re not here to serve yourself; you’re here to serve others.
BIBLE READING:
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges he took the humble position of a servant… - Philippians 2: 5-7 NLT
THINK ABOUT IT:
As we close these 21 days of prayer and fasting I would encourage you to continue humbling yourself and seeking God’s face. But I would also ask you to meditate on the following question and perhaps what might be the most important questions in your life and it’s not, what is my purpose? But rather who am I here to serve? Who is my purpose?
PRAY:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for these 21 days of prayer, fasting, and communion with you. I thank you for your word and I thank you for your love, mercy and grace. I pray dear God for change. I want to become the person you have destined that I should be. I want to be humble yet do extraordinary things. I want to have the same attitude that Jesus had, the attitude of a servant. I know my purpose in this world. My purpose is a who. Help me to become the kind of servant Jesus was. I want to serve a purpose that is greater than my wants, my desires, my needs, and myself. I want to cry over the things you cry about, love those things that you love, and care about the same things that you care about. I want to be a reflection of Jesus to the world. Thank you Jesus, my living and true example. I can never thank you enough for your sacrifice on the cross but I can strive to be just like you, a humble servant. Thank you God for the honor and privilege of serving you. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
Grandeza | Día 20
Cuando piensas en ti mismo, ¿qué ves? Cuando Dios te mira, Él ve su grandeza; Él ve reflejado en ti su gloria y su poder. Cuando Dios te mira, ve su obra maestra; fuiste creado a imagen y semejanza de Dios. Dios no te creó solo para vivir tu vida acumulando cosas y convertirte en una buena persona. Fuiste creado para hacer algo grandioso, algo que resonará por toda la eternidad. Fuiste creado a propósito y para un propósito. Fuiste creado para reflejar a Dios mismo y nada más en toda la creación, ni siquiera los ángeles pueden reflejar a Dios tan bien como tú.
LECTURA BIBLICA:

Dios ha puesto privilegios divinos en ti para que puedas hacer grandes cosas. Ten en cuenta que nada ni nadie más en este mundo puede hacer lo que nosotros, los que fuimos creados a su imagen, podemos hacer. Las aves del cielo no construyen casas para los pobres, los animales que caminan en la tierra no sanan a los enfermos y los peces en el océano no puede sanar las heridas emocionales. Solo tú y yo podemos hacer eso, porque Dios ha puesto su imagen y semejanza en ti y en mi y la mejor manera de reflejar la imagen y semejanza de Dios es tener la misma actitud que Jesús tuvo.
La actitud del mundo es creer que la grandeza de alguna manera se trata de acumular riqueza y fama. Pero ser rico y famoso en sí mismo no te hace grande. Nadie es considerado grande por lo que ha hecho por sí mismo, sino por lo que ha hecho por los demás. Pero la verdad es que no necesitas ser rico y famoso para hacer grandes cosas, lo que necesitas es tener una actitud humilde. La actitud de vivir voluntariamente para un propósito mayor que tu mismo. Una actitud que busca servir en lugar de ser servido y una actitud busca dar en vez de pedir.
PIÉNSALO:
Una gran persona no se mide por cuanto acumuló, sino más bien por cuanto dio.
ORA:
Padre celestial gracias por crearme a tu imagen y semejanza, gracias porque fui creado para hacer algo grandioso y sólo vas a poder cumplir ese propósito en mi vida si yo tengo una actitud humilde, la actitud de vivir voluntariamente para un propósito mayor que mí mismo, buscando servir a los demás en vez de buscar ser servido.
Greatness | Day 20
When you think about yourself, what do you see? When God looks at you he sees his greatness, he sees a reflection of his glory and his might. When God looks at you he sees his masterpiece. You were created in the image and likeness of God. You weren’t created just to live a good life, accumulating things and trying to become as good a person as you can possibly be. You were created to do something great, something that will echo throughout eternity. You were created on purpose and for a purpose. You were created to reflect God himself and nothing else in all of creation, not even angels can reflect God as good as you can.
BIBLE READING:

God has placed divine privileges in you so that you can do great things. Notice that nothing else in this world does great things. The birds in the sky don’t build houses for the poor. The animals that walk the planet don’t heal the sick, and the fish in the ocean don’t heal the broken hearted. Only you and I can do that, because God has placed his image and likeness in us.
The best way to reflect God’s image and likeness is to have the same attitude that Jesus had. The attitude of the world is to believe that greatness somehow is about accumulating wealth and fame. But being rich and famous does not make you great. No one is considered great because of what they’ve done for themselves, they’re considered great because of what they’ve done for others. You don’t need to be rich and famous to do great things. What you need is to have a humble attitude. You need an attitude of voluntarily living for a purpose greater than yourself. And you need an attitude that seeks to serve rather than to be served, and an attitude to give rather than to ask.
Think About:
A great person is not measured by how much wealth they were able to accumulate, a great person is measured by how much of it they gave away in service to others.
PRAY:
Dear God, how awesome to know that I am made in your image and likeness. How awesome it is to know that I am your masterpiece, created and fashioned by your mighty hand to do great works. Like Jesus said, I am able to and called to do even greater works. Father, I am diligently working towards having an attitude of humility and service because I want to do great things for your kingdom. Help me to continue growing in humility and guide me along the path and purpose that you have set for my life so that at the end of it, you might say well done faithful servant. Thank you for your word and for your Holy Spirit that leads me, and thank you for Jesus my Lord and Savior, amen.
Unconditional Love | Day 19
When God thinks about you, what do you think he thinks about you? Your answer to this question will have a huge impact on the way you perceive and think about God. From the moment we gained understanding we were taught that our behavior matters, and it does. Our behavior for good or bad impacts just about every area of our lives, it impacts the way others perceive us and it impacts the way we perceive ourselves. Our behavior impacts all of our relationships and all of our endeavors. So, the natural tendency is to think, if my behavior matters to everyone around me it must also matter to God. However, the mistake is to think that when God thinks about us the main lens through which he sees us is our behavior since that is the lens through which we judge each other.
BIBLE READING:
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. – 1 John 4:7-8 NIV
The bottom line is that the lens through which God sees you and me is not our behavior, as important as that may be. When God thinks about you and me no matter how good or bad we may have behaved he loves us. A love demonstrated when he sent his son into the world when we were living far from him and when our behavior was anything but good. There’s nothing you can do that will cause him to love you any more, he already gave his very best. But there’s also nothing you can do that will cause him to love you less. His love for us is unconditional.
If this unconventional concept of unconditional love could ever move from our heads into our hearts it would have a major impact on every single one of our relationships. Hence it would radically impact our behavior. We would be more willing to serve, and we’d be more willing to give. We would be quicker to apologize and quicker to forgive. We would think differently about everyone around us, we would realize that God also loves every single person we will ever come in contact with as much as he loves us, whether our behavior merits his love or not.
THINK ABOUT IT:
God loves you and he can’t love you any more. God loves the world, he could not possibly love the world any more, and no matter what we do he will never love us any less. So, what God thinks when he thinks about you and me, is that he unconditionally loves us.
PRAY:
Dear Heavenly Father, your love amazes me. Thank you for loving me despite my shortcomings, thank you for having good thoughts about me, and above all else, thank you for loving me so much that you sent your only son to die in my place so that I can have eternal life with you. I pray that your love, your great and amazing love would take root in my heart not just my intellect. Help me to not just understand your word, but to feel your love deep within. And I pray that by fully grasping your love, I could learn to love more, serve more, forgive more, and give more. You have done the maximum you could possibly do for me in your love, you sent Jesus, thank you for loving me that much. Amen
Amor Incondicional | Día 19
Cuando Dios piensa en ti, ¿en qué crees que piensa? La respuesta a esta pregunta tendrá un gran impacto en la forma en que percibes y piensas de Dios. Desde el momento en que adquirimos comprensión, nos enseñaron que nuestro comportamiento es importante y sí lo es. Nuestro comportamiento, para bien o para mal, impacta casi todas las áreas de nuestras vidas, afecta la forma en que otros nos perciben y también como nos percibimos a nosotros mismos. Nuestro comportamiento afecta todas nuestras relaciones y todo lo que queremos lograr. Por eso, la tendencia natural es pensar que si mi comportamiento es importante para todos los que me rodean, también debe ser importante para Dios. Sin embargo, el error es pensar que cuando Dios piensa en mí, el lente principal a través del cual Él me ve es mi comportamiento, ya que ese es el lente a través del cual nos juzgamos los unos a los otros.
LECTURA BIBLICA:
Queridos hermanos, amémonos los unos a los otros, porque el amor viene de Dios, y todo el que ama ha nacido de él y lo conoce. El que no ama no conoce a Dios, porque Dios es amor. Así manifestó Dios su amor entre nosotros: en que envió a su Hijo unigénito al mundo para que vivamos por medio de él. - 1 Juan 4: 7-8 NIV.
La conclusión es que el lente a través del cual Dios nos ve a ti y a mí no es nuestro comportamiento, importante como pueda ser. Cuando Dios piensa en ti y en mí, no importa cuán bien o mal nos hayamos comportado, Él nos ama. Un amor que fue demostrado cuando envió a su Hijo al mundo aun cuando vivíamos lejos de Él y cuando nuestro comportamiento era todo menos bueno. Y, no hay nada que puedas hacer que haga que Dios te ame más, después de todo ya dio lo mejor de sí. Pero tampoco hay nada que puedas hacer que haga que te ame menos. Su amor por nosotros es completamente incondicional.
Si este concepto no convencional de amor incondicional pudiera pasar de nuestras mentes a nuestros corazones, tendría un gran impacto en cada una de nuestras relaciones. Por lo tanto, afectaría radicalmente nuestro comportamiento. Estaríamos más dispuestos a servir y estaríamos más dispuestos a dar. Seríamos más rápidos para pedir perdón y más rápidos para perdonar. Pensaríamos de manera diferente acerca de todas las personas que nos rodean, nos daríamos cuenta de que Dios también ama a cada persona con la que tendremos contacto de la misma manera nos ama a ti y a mí, ya sea que nuestro comportamiento merezca su amor o no.
PIÉNSALO:
Dios te ama y no podría amarte más, ya que dio lo máximo por ti. Y Dios también ama al mundo, ya no podría amar al mundo más y no importa lo que hagamos, nunca nos amará menos. Así que, si quieres saber lo que Dios piensa cuando piensa en ti Él piensa que te ama incondicionalmente.
ORA:
Padre celestial gracias por amarme tanto que fuiste capaz de mandar a tu único Hijo a morir por mí aún cuando yo estaba alejado de ti y no te buscaba, gracias por ese amor incondicional que tienes para conmigo y para con todo el mundo. Ayúdame a para que ese concepto de amor llegue a mi corazón, para que yo pueda amar incondicionalmente a todos los que me rodean, ya sea que lo merezcan o no, porque eso es lo que Tú haces por mí todos los días de mi vida.
