Follower or Christian? Choosing Between Your Agenda and God’s

We often ask, “Who is Jesus?”—but maybe the better question is, “Am I following Him, or just believing in Him?” When Jesus walked this earth, He never invited anyone to simply become religious. He invited them to follow Him.

Many today wear the label “Christian,” but Jesus didn’t call us to a title—He called us to a way of life. Following Jesus means surrendering our own agendas and trusting His, even when it costs us something.

Judas Iscariot believed in Jesus, but he didn’t believe Jesus. He followed with his own plans in mind, and it led to destruction. The same is true for us when we try to control God instead of trusting Him.

At some point, every follower faces a choice: live for personal benefit or walk in surrender. One path leads to anxiety and emptiness; the other to peace, purpose, and true freedom.

So, are you a Christian by name—or a follower by heart?
